Movement: Destroy Blocking Empowering the Sun King: SIDELINE ACTIVE - During force construction, you may choose a character with the Martial Artist or Warrior keyword to be Atum's Avatar. That character can't be equipped or be chosen to be another character's Avatar. This game the chosen character deals penetrating damage and has a minimum range of 6. When that character attacks, if they're not named Atum, after resolutions deal them 1 unavoidable damage. Elder God: The Demogorge: SIDELINE ACTIVE - When the character chosen for Empowering the Sun King is KO'd, you may immediately generate Atum from your Sideline or KO area on click #1 in the square that character last occupied. If you do, at the end of your next turn remove Atum from the game without scoring him, then KO a friendly character of your opponent's choice. Metabolizing Deities: STOP. Impervious. When Atum uses it and succeeds, after resolutions heal him 1 click.
Didn't they just put this guy on the temporary ban list?
Oh, they are trying this stupid idea again but removing the modifier. Better idea - hear me out - make effects cost points. Remember those things - points?
Visible Dials and Pushing Damage need to be optional. This is the way.

Martial Artist and Warrior generally aren't as good as Mystical. The six range is really interesting though.
Also, that's just in Silver for Chthon.
Waller KOs: AA Robin, Kid Devil, Joker, Question; AW E Cap; FCBD Iron Man; Miracle/Oberon; John Stewart x2, Iron Patriot; Shatterstar; IH Herc; CW Photon & Nitro; FF Nite Owl; 10An R Thor, E Iron Man, Weapon X; FF Kilowog; Hugo Strange; Calender Man; Legion Cosmic Boy & Lightning Lad, LE Pete Wisdom
I firmly believe the game really started going downhill with the Sideline stuff.
Don't get me wrong, l loved collecting the ID cards, but people even abused them, and then things got really out of control.
There is enough to pay attention to on the map itself.
I didn't much like the ID cards. I did like Shifting Focus, though.

Master of Biological Manipulation: When establishing themed teams, friendly characters on your starting force with the Monster keyword gain Arnim Zola's keywords and can use [Hydra Team Ability] this game. // If two or more opposing characters share a name with each other, they modify their attack -2. Recreating the Super Soldier Serum: Leadership but succeeds on a [4]-[6]. When Arnim Zola uses it and fails, after resolutions generate a Mutate bystander. I really liked the SR Arnim from Deadpool with the Gwen-clones. Same cost (obviously someone was caught peeking...) but it is interesting how much the game has changed.
125 back then was kinda costly - but the set also had 93 point characters. Now, 125 is holy schnikes expensive since players can spend 20 points and get 265 point characters, 0 points for 300 point characters, and 40 points for strong attackers.
I like him but he will likely struggle on the types of teams I would use him on.
Visible Dials and Pushing Damage need to be optional. This is the way.

i think the real reason they benched Chthon is because he can combo with the Avatar's and equipment
this was reworked to be an Avatar, so you can't combo with Chthon
i honestly would not be surprised to see Chthon errata'd to be an Avatar down the line
24 and counting! Definitely more than all the other sets in modern.
I did see Empyre had 30, though was a larger set, booster figure wise, than BP will be.
I didn't play much Empyre. But regardless, combining both the quantity and the quality of Leadership (succeeding on 4-6, not needing adjacency, generating bystanders, etc.) this set seems to set a higher standard for the power.
I recall the Xavier's School set where you could put all or most the Headmasters on the same team and it was Leadership bonanza. Pretty effective team back in the day. I'm thinking something along those lines will happen here, too.
My H/W link does not reflect the wants for my collection, it is a list of figures that I already have, but still "want" to play.
I didn't much like the ID cards. I did like Shifting Focus, though.
Shifting focus is same points for same points so not really broken BUT the bad thing about it is getting multiple versions of the same character when those slots could go to other characters. I really hate how much repeat we get in the same set.
He, he, the original sideline element was cards. I don't even mean feats & BFC's. I mean the character cards. Still sometimes miss the simplicity of the REV era. Know the PAC & you know what the figure does at a glance.
