The Dark Knight dials (with commentery)
#101 U Joker
Team: Batman Enemy
Range: 8
Points: 63
Keywords: Gotham City, Monster, Celebrity
Trait: Kill the Batman: Joker ignores hindering terrain for purposes of movement and line of fire.
Damage - It's all part of the plan: Joker can use Outwit, Perplex and Leadership
Let's put a smile on that face (B/C/F)
HAHAHAHAHA! (Willpower)
Rocket Launcher (RCE)
Simple Tastes (Energy Explosion)
Come on, hit me! (Combat Reflexes)
Knives and lint (Exploit Weakness)
Mastermind
Heath Ledger's take on the Joker, obviously. I wanted something simple but effective. For 63 points he's got the Batman Enemy TA and I basically gave him the Superman Ally TA as a Trait so a player can actually have fun playing against a Batman figure who will 99% of the time be in Stealth.
The 11 Attack may be a bit high up there, but it displays the "Unstoppable force" that he is, also I made sure it was on the click of HAHAHAHA! (Willpower). This also helps display that while being insane, he IS unrelenting as well. His Special Power may also be too potent, but at the same time this (in my mind) is maybe a chase figure or a rare LE or something. Others may argue he's not good enough though. I try to balance.
The rest is kind of self explanitory. I mean, the lines from the movie connected to the standard powers really help clear it up.
"I'm a man of simple tastes" was shorted to just Simple Tastes (ie, gasoline, gun powder, explosives) and Mastermind i left as Mastermind simpley because I felt it was ironic in a way. Knives and Lint is also a line of Gordon's, of which I shorted, I like the idea he could use "Exploit Weakness" with Lint . . . lol
#105 U Batman
Team: Batman Ally
Range: 6
Points: 116
Keywords: Gotham City, Martial Artist, Detective, Police
Trait- Batman has the Indomitable Defense Ability
Speed - Gotham Knight: Batman can use Leap/Climb, Charge and Running Shot
Defense - Flexible Armor: Batman can use Combat Reflexes and Toughness
Damage - Advanced Techniques: Batman can use Perplex and Close Combat Expert
Mine Gun (Energy Explosion)
Titanium Plating (Invulnerability)
I know how you got these (B/C/F)
Batman . . . How many incarnations of this guy can they get away with doing in clix? Not to mention Robin, Nightwing, Batgirl and several others fight exactly like him (and have dials that can easily have Batman as the sculpt). So I can't say I've done anything too new, but I tried to remain faithful to Christian Bale's take on the character.
He's got a few things I don't think I've seen on a Batman, namely some clix of Invulnerablity and Energy Explosion. Also a click of B/C/F to demonstrate the effects of his wristlets (seen at the end of TDK film). The Indomitable ability (sorry that I had to list it as a trait, couldn't figure out where to put the symbol in) is nothing new because I'm sure everyone immediately thought of Bats when they announced this ability.
I also can't recall if Batman has had Quake before, but I think other martial artists have had it. This demonstrates him smacking and knocking away a group of thugs all in one actions. Flurry is there to demonstrate this too. It took a few tries so that they weren't on the same clicks.
The Flurry/Close Combat Expert combo is this clix greatest flaw in my eyes. I still need to refine that. Obviously no one would ever use the CCE granted by the special power when they could Flurry instead. I'm working on that.
