Notes: There was a tough debate about the GL boxed set being in the JLA, however in the end it was desided that there really wasn't anywhere else for them to be. It does appear that in the fight the GL's made a big difference though.

Defenders
Due to the nature of the team, other teams were combined in (New Warriors, Alpha flight, Guardians of the Galaxy, Thunderbolts) As well as heroes who had no other place to refelct the caotic nature of the Defenders Roster.

Major Victory V

This was a heavly intense battle, for the longest time neither team could gain an advantage. Of course the Free movement cost of the JLA were a major factor in troop placement. Evntually dice rolls began to favor the victor which desided the match. events of note:

Hyperion Vs. Superman: Hyperion and Superman held thier own against each other to the point that when supes finally defeated Hype, he was knocked out the next round. Nearly the whole battle the two locked horns with no signs of stopping. If it had been a Vet Hype I wonder if the result might have been different.

Sasquatch WOULD NOT go down. it took the combined might of Batman, Big Barda, Ice, Zatanna and Karma Tiu to bring him down and even then half of those lost thier clix as well.

Hulk 2099 vs supergirl was the most one sided match ever. Hulk mopped the floor with her and got a few swipes in on others as well. He actually took down the most oppoents including haveing the killing blow to Superman.

Aquaman V.s Wolverine: A surpizeingly long battle, Ironicly Aquaman won (with help from the Gotham PD who weakened wolverine too) by useing Blades claws and rolling a six.

Moonstone was the last click standing and still it took a few tries to finally KO her. Moonstone wins the persistance award this fight.

Dispite Victory, the JLA didn't escape unscathed. In fact the only member to come out with No Damage at all was the Flash. the rest of the survivers Batman (3 clix), Firestorm (5 clix), Abin Sur (2 clix), Hal Jordon (2 clix), Fire (3 clix), and Kyle Rayner (4 clix) all showed injuries from the devestatig battle.

Now the JLA move on to the next round.
