Hi all. I have a quick question about the Sentinel Head bystander that XDPS G012 Cyclops Sentinel creates when it takes damage.
The trait reads: DECAPITATION IS IRRELEVANT: Once per game when Cyclops Sentinel takes damage from an opponent’s attack, after resolutions generate a Sentinel Head bystander and Cyclops Sentinel can’t make range attacks for the rest of the game.
If the damage Cyclops Sentinel takes would KO him (e.g., he's on his 50 point dial and takes 4 or more damage) would the head still pop out?
The effect is still triggered and resolves, however, Cyclops Sentinel would no longer be on the map, and the rules for generating elements require adjacency by default, so you couldn't place the bystander.
