He uses HSS, and in the first move, he picks up a Choco Object. When does he heal? at the end of that move? or after the attack and the second move? I.E. after HSS resolves?

I wasn't sure if the move had a resolution, or if you had to resolve the whole action.

It would be after the whole action. If something resolves just after a move or an attack it will specify.

So theoretically, if he uses Charge, picks up a Choco, and hits a character with a Choco, the trait will trigger twice and he will heal 4 clicks.

Assuming you do not use the object in the Charge attack... otherwise you will not have the object to remove for the healing.

When you say "hits a character with a Choco" do you mean "hits a character who is holding a Choco"? Because unless I'm reading the trait incorrectly, that's the only way MM would heal 4 in a single turn.

I think it means, when you hit an opposing character, who is holding a choco object. But what I'm not clear on now is, If you pick up a choco object, you trigger the event that says you remove the object from the game AND heal two clicks. If the object is already gone, would you not still heal two clicks?

Strictly as worded, it does sound like the object does not need to still exist. He activated it by picking up the object, and activated again by hitting someone who had one. The effect removes the object and heals. I don't see an "if you do" clause, so you do what you can.

Organous was right with their example of healing 4, but they didn't go far enough. I'd like to see MM on click seven sidestep and pick up a Choco, heal two clicks, then charge and pick one up and hit somebody holding one. Back to click 1!

Of course, I have a feeling that in practice this guy is going to suck.

He will. He'll never be able to use click 1 except MAYBE during an opponent's turn.
