Alone, not so good but powered up by other Shiar stuff they become great. Only 20pts and they can be well worth their points on the right team build.

I'm glad a got a few extras with my D'Ken. He can hide behind on his side making these guys & then use them for Mastermind when he decides to join the fight. Not bad at all.

The fact that these guys are the only way to generate Shi'ar Flag tokens, and that it takes a POWER action, makes me question the usefulness of this mechanic. I like Shi'ar, but I don't see myself using the Flags anytime soon.

It's easy to use the flags. Vulcan or D'Ken generates a soldier, then the soldier takes an action to generate the flag, and DeathBird makes them adjacent within 4 squares to friendlies. Good mechanic.
