Mind Control Using Equipment Effects and Trait Abilities
1) So if venom strange is mind controlled, can he still generate a venom character once he hits with his trait ability?
Also..
2) Can venom strange use the effects of any equipment equipped to him?
I cant seem to find the previous rule about Equipped Characters not being able to use its effects in the current rulebook anymore.

1. After resolutions, Venom Dr. Strange is friendly to his original force. His original controller would be the one rolling to generate a Venom.
2. I'm pretty sure that's gone. I can't find anything about it in the comp, nor in the WK rules section.

Waller KOs: AA Robin, Kid Devil, Joker, Question; AW E Cap; FCBD Iron Man; Miracle/Oberon; John Stewart x2, Iron Patriot; Shatterstar; IH Herc; CW Photon & Nitro; FF Nite Owl; 10An R Thor, E Iron Man, Weapon X; FF Kilowog; Hugo Strange; Calender Man; Legion Cosmic Boy & Lightning Lad, LE Pete Wisdom
Thanks, but for Question 1, once he reverts forces, the character he hit is now friendly to him. Would that still count as opposing for rolling the die for the venomverse trait?
I also realised it is not the original characters turn so the turn is still ongoing for the opposing player who mind controlled. So the original player cant do anything yet.

Yes, it's triggered when he hits.

You're thinking of this section of the rulebook:
Quote
7.2 Instructions
There are four instructions that characters perform. They are “move”, “make a close attack”, “make a range attack”, and “make an attack” (which allows the choice of either a close or range attack). An instruction must always be part of an action or a triggered effect. Instructions are not actions. Characters on your force can only be given instructions on your turn, unless an effect says otherwise.
Rolling for the Venomverse trait doesn't involve giving an Instruction. If you couldn't roll for the Venomverse trait if it's triggered, then Mystics wouldn't deal any damage:
Quote
MYSTICS - Each time this character takes damage from an opposing character's attack, after resolutions deal the attacker 1 penetrating damage. Uncopyable.

Focusing on the bold, and answering with a big old "It depends."
You get to move and make an attack after a successful mind control. That's it. That means that some equipment you can use. The key thing to think about is passive vs active.
Let's look at the Infinity Gems, for instance. If Strange was equipped with the Power Gem, it's fine. He gets those buffs, ie +1 damage, RCE, CCE. If he had the Reality Gem though, he wouldn't get the Perplex and TK, but he would have the extra target if you want him to be able to zap a bunch of people.
