We’re a little more on time getting started, and we always need a little Christmas cheer! So welcome to the 2024 Secret Santa Sign-up Thread!

The way the Secret Santa Gift Exchange works is that you get a random name from those who are participating and you then get them a gift and mail it so it will reach them by Wednesday, December 18.

Official opening reveal date is Sunday, December 22. I will create the reveal thread one day early for those who might be busy on or around the official date.

*First and foremost, only participate if you are serious. We have had one or two bad apples over the years and it ruins the spirit of the Exchange. This is not a game or a way to earn some free stuff. It’s about the Spirit of the Holiday and coming together as a community. We do not need nor want any Scrooges!*

Some rules on this:

1. Once you post interest here you must send a PM to me with your address and whether you are willing to ship internationally.

Once pm confirmation is received you will be added to list of participants below.

**In some cases, you may be asked for a contact number. Nothing personal but want to make sure everything runs smoothly**

(Note-no bad apples are accepted, a few years ago an incident occurred. Plain and simple)

2. The sign-ups will end on Saturday, November 16, at midnight.

*If you are not going to take this seriously, then please do not join.

This is a great way to get to know our community better and share in the Holiday spirit, please respect it.

3. I will handle all of the addresses and their distribution so that this can remain a secret! I will notify Santas of their recipients between the 18th and 20nd of November.

4.*This is important...mark the package with HCR Secret Santa somewhere on the package, so everyone knows what their package is when they receive it and don't "accidentally" open it. If you have it shipped directly from somewhere like Amazon (for example), you could add "Secret Santa" to their name.

•If you are shipping to a US location, use Delivery Confirmation and PM me the DC number when you ship.
•If using UPS or Fedex (or the like), PM me that tracking number.
•Outside the US, please record and PM me the Customs Form number.
Once you've sent me a PM with the tracking information, I will update the Confirmed Participation List in the second post in this thread that you have Sent.

* Some guidelines: Money can be an issue for some, so please try and send a gift valued no more than $30.

You can either buy something, make something, or send extra stuff you may have (please not a box full of commons), but it should be Heroclix related and in the spirit of your recipient's Wishlist post, for the most part.

It has been done in the past where people have sent non-HeroClix things because they knew their Santa recipient would like it, which has been fine.

* Please make sure you mail your package out in a timely fashion! International shipping will require a bit of extra travel time. Everyone should be able to open their gifts at around the same time! I would suggest no later than 12/15 (US only), though sooner would probably be better.

A thought to keep in mind, unless you are doing something custom that you won't be able to ship to them in time, Overseas shipping is relatively easy and broadens your horizons.

5. Once you receive your SS gift, PM me that you have received, and I will update the Confirmed Participant list in the second post in this thread.

6. You should not open this gift until the opening date listed above, preferably online to share with all of us. If time zones are an issue, when you can post closest to our goal is more than fine. When you receive your gift, please post that you have received so that I can update the 2nd post that you have Received.

7. PLEASE post to the opening thread when you open your gift. A large part of the fun is seeing what everyone got.
