does a multiple arrow energy explosion a la' ultimate iron man work with armor piercing to hit adjacent character for two damage?

i mean if i shot two adjacent enemys with toughness while i have armor piercing, do they both take two damage or one damage?

They only take 1 damage because it is all from ONE attack...you are only making one attack you are just making it against multiple targets.

Unlike Flurry w/ armor piercing where you make two attacks and therefore can do two damage total, one each attack.
