Do you take the damage from an attack that causes knockback before or after the character moves from knockback.
Example:
Veteran Nebula gets hit from an attack that causes knockback. She has a E Paramedic next to her. Assuming that she doesn't get knocked back into her paramedic, can she use mastermind to deflect the damage off of her before she gets knocked back? Can someone clarify all this, i know there's already been alot of discussion on this, so can one person (or a bunch of people) give me the scoop on this whole deal?
i think u can still use mastermind even in the case of knockback roles as long as someone is adjacent to you... even crit hit i should think......... but i could be way wrong

Knock back is determined separately, after normal damage has been applied. So if Nebula was hit with an attack that rolled doubles, knock back isn't even considered until you have decided whether or not to MM the damage (assuming Nebula has a viable MM target). If you choose to MM the damage, then the MM target will take the damage and any applicable knock back. If Nebula does not MM the damage, she will take knock back after you have applied the damage to her normally.
From the General FAQ:
If knockback occurs, and the damage is dealt to another character, that character would take the both the damage and the knockback.
Also, the figure that takes the MM knockback damage is knocked away from the attacker (if not on a direct diagonal, the attacker will choose which way to send them), not the figure with MM.
