Making me by bricks locally so I can get what I should get even if I buy on line is forcing me. Sorry if that is confusing concept to you. I have *every* HC piece that has been made to date. Every one. I'm a collector and I play. I don't play in tourneys. I really don't like the people there. I've been to 3 of them and what I've seen is pretty sad.
So now I get to go into a local shop and give them about $100? (12 x $8) so I can get the 'free' figure and a map? I'm going to be awfully suprised if my local shops have any for free to most people. Seems like it would make sense to include 1 in a case much like the figure poster. Nevermind I just bought (3) cases online. To buy (3) cases here locally would be impossible since there wasn't even 1 store that ordered more than 1 case as far as I can tell.
Why is this the type of "behaviour" they want to encourage? I use to buy from my local shop. Then it became very obvious the packs were being opened and re-sealed. So I went to online and every case I get I know I'm getting excatly what I've paid for. Another local shop here loves for you to open the boxes in the store so if you pull a unique they will offer you 1 or 2 new boxes for it, then slap a $30 price tag on it. I've seen them do this with little kids that just think its cool to get more figures. Doesn't seem right to me. But I guess this is good behaviour to reward.
So because your venue rips people off (which, admittedly, sucks for you), you're implying all venues everywhere are bad? You're also implying nothing ever bad happens online. I've heard of plenty of cases online where they go through cases until they find all the uniques, and then repackage all the un-unique boosters into a "new" case. Your portrayal of one side as all good, and one side as all bad is patently unfair.
And yes, I guess it is a confusing concept to be expected to be catered to by an entire company.
Do people really not understand that if someone else, somewhere is getting something for free, it doesn't mean that you are getting ripped off, just because you're not? I don't feel gyped just because Paris Hilton is rich.
Most of them I traded my extra uniques for. Only a few did I have to actually spend extra money on. Its not really THAT hard to figure out if you just take a second and not jump to conclusions.
Then, honestly, what's stopping you from trading Uniques for the new maps/collectible figures?

Since you didn't catch the sarcasm...What's to keep you from trading away your extra uniques and such to get this "special" LE? Doesn't seem much different, and definately not worth complaining about...
Thank you guys for putting more making Uniques less hard to get!! Much appreciated, and from someone who was on the verge of quitting thanks to the Legacy fiasco and similar rumors about FF, I am now faithfully yours again (wallet be damned).
Come play in a mafia game! Hey! I'm talking to you, Scott Pilgrim!

I'm not saying all venues are bad. I'm saying the ones here locally are not worthy of my money and for that I am being basically punished by having to give them money that I would otherwise choose not to if I want to get a 'free' map and the 'free' LE from wizkids for being a good customer. Buying 3 cases of each set I guess does not qualify me as being a good customer?
I'm gald your venues in your town are good that would be neat. It might be fun to actually play in a tourney but around here I just won't do it. I won't support the local places that are not worthy of support. So instead I'll have to trade some uniques or purchase them off ebay. Just saying Wizkids should realize that a good customer is a good customer regardless of online sales or retail sales.

You seem to be missing the point. It's not about being a good customer by buying the product. Wizkids wants to promote tournaments because tournaments promote their product, Heroclix. If people are playing tournaments, then Wizkids knows they are buying their product.
Plus, it's not uncommon for players who have already bought a case, or even 2 or more, to play in weekly tournaments, and pick up an extra booster or two while they are there. I've been known to do that myself, along with most of the people at the 2 venues I frequent. If we had just been playing at home, we wouldn't have been tempted by the rack of boosters just sitting there waiting to be bought.
It's all about getting people out into the marketplace, and get them buying more product.
On a different note, I agree with the opinion that this is not nearly as earth-shattering as I expected it would be. This doesn't really change that much concerning the game.

The the "BRICK" buyers are for the players who play in tourneys now? I could have swore Wizkids said it was for the "COLLECTORS". I was always under the impression that the tourney players needed to either buy 2 or 3 boosters not 12.

A ClixBrick is 12 boosters shrink wrapped together and sold as a single unit. WizKids considers brick buyers “collectors.”
Thats kind of my point anyway. A collector will usually spend a good deal of money on these silly things. Unfortunatly I know all too well. That being said its kind of obvious (to me) we will try to find the best price around when spending over $600 dollars every time a set comes out. With about 3 sets per year thats close to 2 grand I'm spending on Heroclix and now I'm being told thats not good enough to be considered a "collector" and having a chance to get a fee LE figure? Now I need to go support a local store that is not worthy of support. I will do it though and I guess thats the point. Wizkids should really re-consider this in my opinion. There may be a VERY good reason why I don't buy locally.
Someone else mentioned it too, I'm going to be curious to see how many "Bricks" the stores order. I can see a store having 1-2 and then being out of singles and having to break up the bricks. Keep the coupon and just e-bay the LE. No one would know. I know I could get as many of these as I wanted to by bricks. Would be too easy. Just have them sent to friends and family's houses and that would be the end of it.
Guess I'm not sure which point I'm missing. I guess I thought Tourney LE's were for the Tourney players and now the bricks are for the collectors who buy in quanity, hence the 12 packs shrinkwrapped together. I really don't want to argue with anyone here but just point out that this is a dumb policy on wizkids part, imo.

Nothing is stopping me from doing this. But why should I have to trade these away when everyone else is getting them for free? I collect these. I will need to trade uniques now for the LE's since everyone cried about them being in the boosters now as SR's to the point Wizkids took them out. Thats all well and good. I guess Wizkids listened to the public and I hope they do again and realize that its an dumb policy to exclude online sales.
