i've been playing heroclix for a long time now and know just about all the rules, but when a new set comes out or something comes up that i've never seen, i like to know the official ruling, and my computer stinks so i can't look at the FAQ.
1-Can I use Brilliant Tactician on Taskmaster and have him copy various TA's or can he only perplex figures with the MoD TA and himself as well or only teamates? And if he can, can i change through each different TA on my team since perplex is a free action? ie: he copies FF and perplexes thing and on the same turn, copies ultimates and perplexes iron man.
2-Can I use BT with ICWO (with oracle on card) and gain either perplex or outwit to use BT? ie: V gambit is an agent of oracle and has outwit from ICWO and now use BT on various X-men.
3-Does HSS work with unstoppable? ie: count nefaria has unstoppable and uses HSS to plow through walls and hindering to attack an opponent.
4-Is haymaker applied with the rule of 3 or is it a replacemant value? ie: hulk has haymaker and is holding a heavy object. he has 4 damage showing on his dial, the heavy makes his damage dealt a 6, does haymakers +2 damage make it an 8 or 7 because of the rule of 3?
i really need #4 answered, i've asked this question and never really got a straight answer so please help me!!!
thank you for any replies.
cheers

The official ruling on Brilliant Tactician and wildcards hasn't come down yet.
He can Perplex himself as well as any teammates he affects.
If wildcarding Brilliant Tacticians can use their Perplex on other teammates, they can't change teams in the middle of an action. So in your example, Taskmaster Perplexes himself and the FF members on his team. The action of Perplexing is completed, and Taskmaster cannot use Perplex more than once in a turn.

You cannot use ICWO to assign a character BT. A character must meet the requirements for a feat at the time of construction, and Gambit doesn't have Outwit on his dial at the time of team construction.
You can use ICWO to give your Brilliant Tactician who doesn't have their Perplex currently showing Perplex and they can use that Perplex with Brilliant Tactician. This is because they already qualified for the feat.

Yes.

The rule of 3 applies to modifiers. The +2 from Haymaker is a modifier to the character's damage value. Objects are not modifiers, they add to damage dealt. As such they are not affected by the rule of 3. So in your example Hulk would deal 8 damage.

does that mean that a figure like hulk with 6 damage can perplex his damage by 3 making it a 9 and then using a soda machine to do 3 more making it 12?
does CCE and RCE count as modifers or damage dealt?
does HSS option 2 max out at 3 attacks?
cheers

Modifiers, so they fall under the Rule of 3

Four, actually...
1) Base damage (which is set to 1)
2) You hit for 1 more damage, 2 total
3) You hit for 1 more, 3 total
4) You hit for 1 more, 4 total damage
The defense will stop dropping after the 4th hit. You can continue to roll as long as you keep hitting, but you will not do anymore damage unless you roll critical hits. Of course, you are as likely to roll a critical miss which will hurt you, so be wise when continuing to roll.
In my day, we didn't have Heroclix. If you were being attacked by Superman with a 3d dumpster, you just had to hope you could outrun him.
thanks grinner and funky jett, those are some questions that have been bothering me for quite some time.
cheers

Someone said something about this last weekend, and it didn't strike me as being right, but I chalked that up to me having been out of the game for a while...
If a figure uses HSS option 2, gets 2 (or any) hits, and then misses, do they miss for the whole attack, or just that last +1 damage?
Once they miss, you stop rolling, and apply the damage that has already accumulated (so to speak). The final miss just tells you to stop, not that you missed entirely.
TRADES. eBay.
An Admin told me that I'm "too smart" for Another Realm. I hold that as a standing order.
