I just started Heroclix, but I have played Mage Knight years ago when it first came out. My question is this:
Can I make a ranged combat attack against an enemy that is adjacent (in close combat) with another character? I seem to remember there was a rule you couldn't with Mage Knight, but maybe it is different with heroclix.
If you can make that ranged attack is there an sort of modifier for trying to shoot a figure that is engaged in melee?

Thanks for the help.
As long as your ranged attacker can draw a clear LOF to the target and your ranged attacker isn't prevented in some way from making ranged attacks (i.e. a non-flying ranged attacker based by an opposing figure), then you may attack that target. The only bonus to Defense the target might have is if your LOF were to cross hindering terrain. Then the target would get the standard +1 DV hindering terrain bonus. Doesn't matter if your target is standing off by its lonesome or almost completely surrounded by your figures. LOF is all that is important.
