Do flying characters when moving out of hindering terrain still only get half of theri movement value? I am thinking yes but I thought I'd double check.

Can flying characters move over hindering terrain indoors?

Flyers ignore hindering terrain for movement purposes. Whether they start in it or pass through it, it does not effect thier movement.

Gumpold already got the first part, but the answer to your second question is 'Yes'. They can't soar and they can't move over blocking terrain (indoor blocking terrain goes all the way to the ceiling so only Phasing characters can pass through it), but hindering terrain is treated the same as outdoors.

And now, questions regarding HSS and hindering terrain:

1. Do characters with this ability have to stop their movement upon entering hindering terrain?

2. Do HSS characters halve their movement out of hindering terrain when using HSS?

3. Does Deep Shadows in anyway affect the mechanics of HSS?

1. Uless they are flyers, yes.

2. Again, unless they are flyers, yes.

3. Yes and no. It would not affect them during the movement portion of the power, but LOF would be affected on ranged attacks.
