I'm working on a New Mutants team for this weekend. Format is 300 points restricted.
I'm thinking about:
Vet Magma with nanobots
Warlock with Nanobots and In contact with Xavier (Oracle)
Vet Karma with In contact with Xavier
Exp Moonstar In contact with Xavier
That is a cool team, but you might get smoked by someone who has a fig with good damage. I don't know other members of the New Mutants, but I would get their best/strongest attacker.

Any suggestions?
First, you team is over. Base cost of your 4 figures is 259. And you have 50 pts of feats listed. In my opinion, Warlock is not an attacker. he is there to make Moonstar last longer with the 17 defense + her ESD.
You probably need ICWO on Moonstar for AV or damage and you will need it on someone else. Karma is a good idea.
Nanobots is a good idea but I would want to use it on Karma and she doesn't have any travel powers to speak of. But Warlock and his Plasticity should be able to break away easy enough and take her with you so he can drop her by an object.
Drop Nanobots on Magma and Warlock. Put Nanobots on Karma. She will either take damage from attackers or take feedback damage from successful Mindcontrol attacks AND she has your highest AV. You need to keep her at the front of her dial IMO.
That still leaves you with 11 pts left. If you have the Danger Room starter kit, you should consider using the Lucky Break card. For 5 pts, it lets you reroll 1 die of a 2 dice roll if one of the dice comes up a 1. Doesn't seem like a lot, but with the number of attackers you have, this could br priceless. If you don't have this starter, consider the 8 pt ENTANGLE card from Sinister.
You should be setting up so that Magam throws a Barrier up as far away as she can. Mirage takes point right of left of the farthest pt of the barrier and carriers Karma with her.

This will protect your Warlock from Outwit so Moonstar is a 19 to hit. Karma is set up to do a MC action next turn. Magma can push to throw up another barrier if needed while everyone esle clears.
Hope this helps

I built the team in Battleplanner and just readded points so I'm pretty sure the points are good
Vet Magma 51
Nanobots 10 61
In Contact 30 91
Warlock 73 164
Nanobots 10 174
Karma 59 233
Moon Star 66 299 Total
I put nanobots on the two non flyers figuring that Warlock can carry Karma and Moonstar can carry Magma. If someone gets damage I can use the X-men ability to exchange clix as necessary. Plus it gives me extra 1 movement to get to an object becuase I can drop the carried fig where ever I want.
I'm looking for more fun to play Warlock and Karma vs. competive. I know someone will play icons supes and the pit crew, or KC flash sidekicked to the dog, so I'm just looking for fun/annoying.

Ah... had E Moonstar at 76 pts. Hope I didn't cause any confusion. I still think 2 nanobots with only 3 objects you control is a waste, but if you're actually playing the game TO HAVE FUN (do people really still do that?) then go enjoy yourself.

You could do a Cable/Cannonball/Warpath/ Domino team vs the New Mutants Team. That would be fun.
But I don't think Danni was on the team when Cable took over.

She wasn't.
When Cable started leading the New Mutants (arround issue #89), it was Cannonball, Boom-Boom, Sunspot, Wolfsbane, Warlock, and Rictor. Rusty and Skids were still sort of with them, but they were pretty much being hounded by Freedom Force more or less constantly at this point and never were really led by Cable.
