Klaw's Rebels turn 10a

Klaw knew the storm was about to hit and he made sure that his sonic-absorbing powers were at the ready; but when Mjolnir struck, Klaw was inwardly awed by the might of the seemingly simple weapon. He daren't display any weakness to his ebnemies, however, and he fired back -- at the blonde woman. The repercussions of Thor's attack had, however, left Klaw stunned and disoriented; his shot went wide.

I pushed Carol off RCE but it paid off. All you have left is Klaw's Incapacitate and I don't think it'll be enough to help. All downhill from here.

Klaw's Rebels turn 11a

Klaw reeled; that shot had even gotten through his sonic defenses. Baron Macabre and Salamander K'Ruel seemed to be paralyzed, uncertain whether to flee or hurl themselves in desperation against their enemies. 'That accursed Black Panther,' thought Klaw to himself, 'where does he find such mighty allies?'

Klaw pushes and attacks Thor using Incapacitate > AV9 vs DV16 > roll: 2+3=5 MISS. (wow, poor luck this game) Klaw takes 1 pushing damage.

Klaw's Rebels turn 12a

Salamander K'Ruel looked around in desperation. Almost the entire group that Klaw had gathered to defeat the Black Panther had been decimated, and Klaw himself looked exhausted. K'Ruel rapidly notched one of his nitroglycerine-tipped explosive arrows and fired wildly at the exotic blonde-haired woman, but missed terribly. He knew the end was coming soon.

Suddenly, Klaw found himself alone against thse two mighty, blonde,flying do-gooders. The man of sound was injured, he could hardly run as he limped down off the roof of the mining structure and tried to makea break for the cover of the jungle.

Klaw Rebels turn 14a

Klaw was hurrying as fast as his battered body and legs could carry him toward the supposed refuge of the jungle. With the accursed Black Panther unconscious, having been knocked out a few moments earlier by that brutish Man-Ape, perhaps, Klaw thought, he stood a chance of evading his pursuers. The blonde viking-looking chap certainly didn't look like he knew much about African jungles. Interrupting his limping gait to see what the two heroes were doing, Klaw saw...

Klaw replied with a weak sonic blast that had no effect whatsoever on Thor.

"So be it then."

With one more swing of the mighty Mjolnir, Thor toppled Klaw and the fight ended.

You know it's rare I see a game where not a single object is used.

Thank you, too, Vance, for the game. It was a crucial moment when K'Ruel/Bullseye missed Warbird when he only needed a 7. I would've definitely had a chance then... :-)

Also, don't worry: i wouldn't have really run away with Klaw; i just thought my odds of getting a critical hit were equal to yours getting a critical miss (or my own odds, for that matter). I found it a little more comic-accurate to have Klaw move instead of attack in light of the odds...

I wasn't worried about you running away. Thor still had RS so you wouldn't have gotten too far anyway :-)

As Klaw backed away, his army of criminals down, Thor smote him with a mighty blow from Mjolnir, shattering the villain with a loud BOOM, pieces of him scattered for miles around.

Panther limped over to Thor and put a reassuring hand on his shoulder. "Don't worry about it Thor, Klaw is almost impossible to kill, you've merely disrupted his body for awhile. We're done here, Wakanda is safe for now."

"What do we do with little miss glowy here?" asked Warbird, gesturing towards the young Wakandian they had fought beside.

<SHE IS TO BE LEFT WHERE SHE IS, HISTORY WILL RIGHT ITSELF>

Everyone looked around at the familiar booming tones, but as usual saw no-one.

"What do you mean?" asked Panther, "this girl will die?"

<FROM YOUR POINT OF VIEW SHE'S ALREADY BEEN DEAD FOR OVER A DECADE. IN ALL TIMELINES EXCEPT THIS ABBERATION SHE WAS KILLED BY KLAW, YOU WILL LEAVE HER HERE AND WHEN THE TIMELINE RIGHTS ITSELF SHE WILL CEASE TO EXIST>

The young woman began to shake violently, obviously terrified by the voice and what it said.

Black Panther drew himself to his full height, despite his injuries. "I am king of Wakanda, and while I live no citizen of my realm dies if I can help it."

<YOU CAN NOT HELP IT, LEAVE THE GIRL>

"She comes with us, or else I stay here and die with her," replied the Panther.

<AS YOU WISH, YOU ARE INSIGNIFICANT>

"If he stays, I do too," said Warbird.

"As do I," added Thor.

<YOU WOULD SEE THE TIMESTREAM DESTROYED FOR THE SAKE OF THIS GIRL?>

"Would you?" replied Black Panther.

There was a long pause.

<YOU WILL...REGRET THIS>

"Just take us back to Oz," said Warbird.

A second later the clearing had only the shattered remains of the rebellion, the heroes were gone.
