ok, i've been playing my friends Avengers recently and he's decided to use the Superman Enemy T/A with them, and what he does is group 4 or 5 Avengers together and gets multiple outwits from them all, telling me which pairs are using the T/A and bottom line is i'm getting massacred, is this seriously legal, please help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!! or if not just lie and say "NO, Thats wrong!", i'll appreciate either, thanks
1) If two friendly members of the Superman Enemy team are adjacent, the character with the highest point value gains Outwit. If that character already possesses Outwit, this team ability does not work.
2) This team ability ceases to function at the end of an action in which the two Superman Enemy team members are no longer adjacent.
As long as he is following those 2 rules, I don't see why not. If he is having the same figure "gain" Outwit more than once, then he is not doing it right. But from what you explain, it sounds like everything is correct
Sounds like he is using it right if he is declaring which pairs are using it. Like Meat said, as long as one figure isn't using outwit more than once, it's fine.
Yep it sounds right. Supes enemy is often undervalued as a TA since many of the figs that have it are so expensive. And mutiple pairing work as well, so if you can get 4 T-bolted Avengers in a square formation3 of the four can gain outwit. I use to play against a guy that loved to run 5-6 Intergang Agents/Medics back in the days of Hypertime.
But remember to make the most of it he has to cluster. It's just beging for a Fortituded/Nova Blasting Pulse Waver to tear it up.
Although Icons Lex carrying E Jessica Jones is a choice combo for that TA. I played and loved it. Jessica is sneaky with that l/c when people try to get next to her, and that perplex is freakin sweet.
I talked to a HC Envoy in San Diego this year who claimed that the Thunderbolts card was never supposed to be compatible with DC team abilities.
Hooray for Wizkids slip-ups!
(Of course, the Ant-Man/Defenders/Thunderbolts combo is still annoying..)
Don't burn the card, jsut play smarter. Use barrier to block line of site. Or energy explosion w/ armor piercing or earthquake to disrupt his formation. Or White noise to cause him problems. Disbanded also plays nicely.
Plenty of ways around it if he frequently does the same thing. If you aren't beating that tactic, you need to rethink your own strategies.
When you use TBolts on two characters, like say 2 V Mockingbirds, and you declare your team ability Superman Enemy, which one gets outwit? Can you choose since they are the same point value?

Yes, you would choose who gets it and that figure retains it for that pairing as long as those two maintain adjacency, per the text of the TA.
BoT
I don't want to talk to you no more, you empty headed animal food trough wiper. I fart in your general direction. Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries....now go away or I shall taunt you a second time.
