I just remembered.
I saw him take out Amazo who was on his 2nd click, with one horribly nasty blow. My collegue's and I's inner children were crying like little girls.
That's why i'm wondering if apart from Thunderball (who I beleive i'll try to acquire) there's some other cheaper-than-Magog piece who can do the job.
On Wizkids main site, you can do an advanced search for all figs with those two powers, plus what point vaule you don't want them to exceed
For example:
All figs with SS and EW, that are less than 150 points
So what is the final deal w/ characters w/ Charge and SS when it comes to picking up objects next to opposing characters? I'm pretty sure you can charge a character stealthed on an object and nail him w/ it. So I imagine you can pick it up even if it is adjacent to an opponent.
CAn someone give me the history on this as well? I think I remember it being legal, then illegal at some point, then maybe it's legal again?
Here's the trick with that. You can pick up any object you are adjacent to or on top of while you are moving. If you charge someone, you move, then stop, then hit. You can pick up an object during the move if you want.
Here's the kicker, though: once you end your movement, you can no longer pick up an object. Moving into adjacency with an opposing figure ends your movement immediately. This, of course, doesn't apply to figures (like flyers) that ignore other figures for movement. So a flying charger (let's say Wonder Woman) could charge up to the square right next to Batman, pick up the object Bats is standing on, then end her movement and hit him with the object.
If Magog were to try the same maneuver, he would stop immediately upon entering adjacency with Batman, and would not be able to pick up the object because he is no longer moving.

and yeah, i've come to dislike/respect/fear/vow-ultimate-destruction-to Magog in all his glory!
For although he is disgustingly powerful, i'm trying to find someone else similar (yet I know...nowhere as wickedly awsome) so I can avoid using the bastard! As for killing him... well it's always a pleasure
I'm just picking up on a point made earlier in the thread.
Is it possible to perplex a character more than once? For example you have 3 characters with perplex, so you perplex up the damage of a 4th character by 3 points.

The following figures have the Charge/Super Strength/Exploit Weakness combo you are looking for, aside from Magog: LE Statesman (caped variety): gets it on his second click. RE Mary Marvel gets it late in their dials, and only for 1 click. LE Captain Marvel (from Collateral damage): 2 clicks middial. EV Thunderball: The only non-Unique figure with the combo front loaded as of now. I prefer the E over the V myself - he's cheaper, and I like the damage upswing on click 2... LE Brunnhilde: On her third click.
So if you want a Charge/Super Strength/EW fig, you're basically stuck with Thunderball.

This is very much legal. However, remember the all-encompassing rule of 3 - a figure cannot have its combat values modified by more than 3 points. This usually means that any Perplexing of a single stat beyond 3 points is wasted effort (unless the figure receiving the perplex is also getting a penalty for some reason, such as using the Homing Device Feat). However, you must also remember that it is the base value that is affected - a figure with Range or Close Combat Expert (powers which add 2 to the damage value) can only have their damage Perplexed up once.
Also, using objects and critical hits adds to damage dealt, not damage value, so with these you can get more than 3 extra points of damage out of an attack...
I know Thunderball from AW has it too (Who else? I never really checked I guess...are there others?)
if you're looking for ew figs to aquire, i suggest rev persuader from legacy. no superstrength, but he just keeps on dealing the damage and his calc ta gives him lots of options.
Yep, Persuader's like a mini-Magog, and well worth the points. If you're looking for an even more efficient version (a mini-Persuader), go with Captain Mako from the CoV set, who also sports the nasty Arachnos/Mystics TA.
