"A" has Barrier and Range 4.
A has his Range Perplexed up to 5 and uses barrier placing 1 Barrier token at 5 squares range and the remaining 3 at range 4.
Does the Token at range 5 disappear at the end of the action?
My first instinct was that it did disappear as the Perplex effect stops as soon as the related action ends but after reading the PAC (always a good idea ) we ruled that it did not disappear .
(For example if A was subsequently moved during that turn (by TK or carried or whatever) the Barrier would not disappear due to it being out of Range or anything (in a similar way to Outwit not requiring LOF after it has been used).)
You ruled correctly. The Barrier power is very specific about what causes the barrier to go away:

Also, I will point out that Perplex lasts until the end of your turn - it lasts more than just the one action involving the initial perplex. That way, you can perplex an opposing character's defense down and have multiple shots at the character to try and hit the lower defense (though once you hit them, the perplex effect goes away, as indicated by the Perplex power in the PAC: "This effect ends immediately if this character loses Perplex or is KOd, or if the target is damaged or healed during this turn.")
