Steal Energy also works with Pounce. Only Ragman and Parasite has that particular combo at the moment though, but it can be quite a nasty surprise.

I have a funny feeling it won't be as simple as that.

You actually do both. If you have Steal Energy when you make the Pounce attack, you will heal a click (assuming the attack deals damage). After this is resolved, you take the click of unavoidable damage. After this is resolved, you take pushing damage (if you pushed).

Unless you happen to have Willpower showing on the dial at the time, as Ragman might.
