Pair up V Shade and Auto-Regen, and only a concentrated effort by your opponent will take him down. And your opponent will also take quite a few clicks due to Mystics feedback.

Great with Automatic Regeneration, and fantastic with Taunt!

Improves greatly upon the already great Experience.

I just adore this piece... he makes an incredible nuisance of himself. Mystics on a piece with this much Regeneration means your opponent will burn a few clicks trying to remove him. On his top dial he's one of the more useful Smoke Clouders since he packs Willpower to keep it going. Mid-dial Phasing & Outwit allows him to escape a predicament while still helping the team and it makes your opponent chase him all over. That back-dial TK makes up for his paltry damage since he can still influence things. Love it!

Before Supernova hit the shelves, this guy used to be my favorite TK'er. Opponents were unfamiliar with him, and as a result, he was usually damaged onto his TK clicks.

If you really need the Mystics TA, pay the extra 24 points to upgrade the Experienced version to the Vet. The only other gains over the E are a slight boost to his speed value (+1) on clicks #3 and #7.

Always play with more than one... Mystics puts people on edge about hitting a low point mystic.. When they do hit this guy he lands on outwit.. Outwits a powerhouse and the other shade hits.. Then the hurt shade phases to safety to get healed or regen... These guys are actually one of my favorite pieces.. Which is why someday I hope to play all three that I have acquired!!!

The reactions my opponents give when this master harasser introduces himself are priceless. What a great supporter for the points. Simply with just his TA, if he misses his chance to do ANYTHING....an opponent still has to take mystic damage. Pop out smoke clouds constantly with his willpower combo......aid more important stealth friendlies. He hets hit.......phase in and base an opponent outwitting him. The opponent will constantly attempt to destroy this SEVEN click wonder, shade will then proceed to regenerate and stand ready to deal more mystics damage. His telekinesis just puts his usefulness over the top......I still use this guy today as a master harasser, and invaluable support piece.

Having mentioned his good aspects, I really think a single click of shape change would've been comic accurate. Also shade 'senses' his assassin which would merit a super senses/shape change combo. This piece will always be a legend in my collection, but I EAGERLY await an updated version he so desperately needs. Until then....I will continue to enjoy using this surprisingly effective veteran.
