You can open it, but you'll have to break the slab to do it.

CGC will reseal the slab for you for a fee, I think for around $15 or less, if you send it all back.

Avoid CGC and slabbed comics. In my opinion, it's a gimmick solely for the secondary market and the books are very often graded incorrectly.

Yeah it's fine to keep the comics and good condition. But seal them up completely? I mean, comics are meant to be read...

There are exceptions.

My FF#1 is CGC'd and locked away. I have no intentions of reading it, when I can just as easily buy the online comics and read them there. I havent actually read a single on of my actual SA comics. It is the same story online, so that is where I enjoy them.

However, using CGC on new books is pretty useless unless you are hunting almighty capital.
