For the most part I like and understand Deadman's special power but there's at least one situation that could cause problems.
First off, here's the relevant special power text:
Quote
After the resolution of any action given to the target, you can release the target. Remove all action tokens from the target and place this character in any unoccupied square within 4 squares to which the target has a clear line of fire. The target becomes friendly to its owner's force and opposing to your force.
So what happens if a Deadman possessed character is boxed into a corner with a figure on each of the 'open sides' and Deadman decides or is forced to release the character?

P = possessed figure
F = other figures
The possessed figure doesn't have line of fire to any unoccupied square, so where does Deadman go when he re-emerges?

Since there is no solution that fits within the rules, use common sense and allow him to emerge in any adjacent square
For a final answer, of course, we will have to wait for "intent" to come back from GD, but...
I'm leaning towards:
The re-positioning is mandatory, so releasing the character is an illegal action. We all know the game won't let you take illegal actions, so you can't release the character.
I'd be personally okay with "go ahead and put him adjacent (or as close as possible) if you don't have LoF" as well, though.
TRADES. eBay.
An Admin told me that I'm "too smart" for Another Realm. I hold that as a standing order.

OK, take it to the next step and remove all adjacent squares (surrounded in a hallway or a big ol' party in the Trash Compactor). Now what? Can you logically place Deadman on the other side of blocking terrain or on different elevation?
This is the opposite of the HSS "Don't attack form a square you can't land in" rule, because the legal squares are taken away by your opponent.
I would assume Deadman can't release and takes the click of damage (but it is just an assumption).
