can someone please explain in details how the BFC assigned to teams work in a tournament.
at my last tournament i was playing a basic team, the sinister 6 first incarnation, and just the dampening field BFC.
later after the tournament someone said you were supposed to bring 3, 2 regulars and 1 dummy (whatever that means).
can someone please explain if this is correct and if so how it works.
thanks,

Official rules state you bring the same number of BFC's equal to the number of rounds minus 1.
In a standard 3 round tournament you would bring 2 BFC's and one place-holder - a non-BFC that you reveal when your opponent plays their card.
This allows you to have 2 rounds where you play a BFC of your choosing (not counting someone playing Ordinary Day) and one round where you cannot play a BFC.
Visible Dials and Pushing Damage need to be optional. This is the way.

and your BFC for the round is randomly chosen by you? or do you get to select one to use each round?

I build my team of the Teen Titans. Its a 3 round tournament and I choose my 2 BFC's - in this case Assembled and Bright Lights. I then prepare a Place-Holder for my 3rd card - choosing a Feat card so it looks like a BFC.
In the first round I see I am facing a Mishmash of figures and the player is inexperienced. I feel confident of my chances and select my Place-Holder to play.
My opponent and I reveal our BFC choices at the same time - he is playing Ordinary Day and I play the place-holder.
Second round I see a team consisting of a few Ultimates and some Batman Enemies. I decide to play Assembled. When we reveal cards my opponent has played Deep Shadows and I curse my luck. Hopefully my +1 will make up for the hindrance of short ranges and lots of hindering.
The third round I face a Batman Ally team. Only having Bright Lights in my hand, I play it. My opponent has already used his 2 BFC's so all that's left is his Placeholder. I apologize for the butt-kicking I will be dishing out.
Hope that answers your question.
