Thanos, 4 Lockjaws, a bunch of Lians. And a few Ahabs with a TKer. or two.
Of course it won't be fun, but for the same points he'll go down FAST.
You should be smited for the suggestion. But now I'll make it a point of pride to play a completely themely non-ridiculous team for the 500 point event that I know I'll face a World's Finest.
Sheesh. It's not like you're facing Galactus here... I'm reasonably sure any half-decent 500 point team will take him out. But keep designing nuclear weapons to take out the ants ruining your picnic, guys.

After looking at the WF dial I think it is a perfectly great idea to use a comic book accurate team against them, Lex Luthor and Joker leading the battle, get some good tie up pieces as well. I just think the new Lex Luthor and perhaps Emp. Joker leading a small force of classic villians would not only be a wicked fun game but a really strong chance of taking down the Bat and the Boyscout.
Adding to the list of Batman enemies and villain wildcards from my previous post, there are also some good Superman Enemy characters you can run (and SE can be copied by your wildcards)...
Origin Mister Mind for 68 points. Mind Control with Willpower and a 19 Defense to keep him safe for awhile. Of course, you'll want someone to carry him because of his low movement. Preferably, a Superman Enemy or wildcard so that one of them will get Outwit from the Superman Enemy team ability.
Mind Control is actually out of the question as whoever did the MC would take 5 clicks of damage as a result. Limited options at best.

Origin Rookie Knockout can be a baby beatstick and provide Superman Enemy to someone who would carry her as well. Her low movement cries for carrying.
As coyotehatesyou pointed out, Mr. Mxyzptlk is an option. He provides Superman Enemy, taxiing and his special power can Incapacitate TWF if he can see them.
Knockout is a good choice. Mixed Pickles can be a nasty tie up piece, but if the WF is on HSS, tying up isn't a problem. Which is why I keep thinking Icicle is the way to go. Get up a barrier AND hit them with an action token at the same time. The barrier allows for slower pieces to move in without being outwitted.

Justice League Parasite is an option, but I don't know that it's a good one considering the lack of options for his Drain powers. If you used him then I'd say try to grab Impervious early if you can. He's a great candidate to be carried by Mxyzptlk because Parasite would get the Outwit out of the two and Mxy already has Outwit. If you can get line of fire with both of them to TWF then you can Attack/Defense Drain then Outwit whatever you drained. Now you've got it and they don't.
And, ugh, dare I say it: Justice League Granny Goodness. She serves as a close-combat figure and Superman Enemy. Have her carried by another SE member or wildcard and you can Outwit TWF's defenses then pummel with her. Getting her knocked down to her Flurry/Willpower clicks and giving her Outwit from SE should keep TWF busy.
I like Granny better than Parasite, but maybe as a team they could be a nasty combo. Things to think about.

Origin Rookie and Veteran Cyborg Superman bring SE, Psychic Blast+4 damage to the table. He can also carry another SE/wildcard to gain Outwit.
And there's Origin Limited Edition Supergirl, if you have one. She doesn't look like she's worth her points to me, but she provides SE (she'll be the one gaining Outwit), taxiing and close-combat craziness.
A Cyborg Superman has possiblities. The LE Supergirl is so overpriced, I wouldn't want to field her on any team. She's just not worth the points.
Just for the chance of hitting everything perfectly, I might go for Cheetah too and hope she could nail a six on a blades roll. Ra' Al-Ghul has some potential too.
Origin Rookie Shadow Thief, 38 pts.
-Ambush, 5 pts.
-Homing Device, 8 pts.
Justice League Experienced Merlyn, 55 pts.
-Coordination, 6 pts.
Justice League Veteran Major Disaster, 59 pts.
Justice League Experienced Dr. Alchemy, 62 pts.
Justice League Rookie Icicle, 72 pts.
Justice League Veteran Chronos, 77 pts.
Justice League Experienced Tharok, 100 pts.
-Thwart, 15 pts.
The Society, 0 pts.
497 pts.
It has alot of capability, but I don't know effective it would actually be.
I like this. Homing Device slipped my mind completely, but now seems like an essential feat against WF. Merlyn and Icicle make a heck of a deadly pair too. Yeah, this would be a fun team to run no matter what. Cool!

I thought of this but Luthor is 161 and Joker is 199, so that's 360 points right there with another 140 to fill. It gets tight quickly. I guess E Jinx would be wise for the PC so there's 48 points and R Knockout for 70 more.
That's 478 points in figs, allowing 22 in feats. I'd want a bigger team. More targets to keep the WF a little off balance.
For a fight against the World's Finest, I'd probably bring crazy Joker [hooray, Legacy] to the fight with the new Luthor, filling up only about 200 points and leaving nearly 300 for supporting cast villains like Cheetah, Dr. Light (V for the win), Icicle, and Merlyn...heck, now I need to do this, pop the Society on them for some OW protection, and play this match for fun
Arguendo of the Beige Lanterns (Pedantry Corps)
Feb 2015: JL Trinity War has have given us the CSA, playable and together. Twice. ROCK ON!
REClixed: Justice for Dmitri Pushkin (your sacrifice will not be forgotten)! New generic Rocket Red @50-75 points while we're at it? Still no 19DV Defender? (WoS Groot doesn't count)
Power Girl AND Bust.
Would it be theoretically possible to have Unus bounce WF out of stealth?
I imagine they are knockback immune...
and yes, Disbanded would make them pretty much stink...BUT...
I imagine the point of this thread is to see what 'theme' team (as in, comic theme, not keyword theme) could give them a challenge. They are not THAT stat crazy, so I would say they aren't THAT insanely powerful. You would just need a ton of fliers or TK'ers and enough Chargers with high AV's and Exploit. Assume your Outwits will never be used....
BUT they are 4 squares in size. Hiding 3 squares only leaves 1 in open terrain....
Considering they can do 7-8 damage per person 2 out of 3 turns and MOST characters cannot take 7-8 and still be viable, just get a bunch of guys with 5-6 clicks of life. 1 hit won't kill them so they'd need to hit you twice. Get uber efficiency in the first 1-3 clix of life.
If I wasn't at work, I'd attempt something...but I would look for 10 guys at 50 points each....
and forget the BFC debate...this is about the value of those 500 points...

Is it Mental Shields that prevents feedback damage? That's the only way to play Mind Control against TWF.
If you're talking about them team ignore then, no, TWF could not ignore a battlefield condition if it were a 500-pt game. If it were a game with a lot higher build total then it's possible.
Homing Device doesn't work against WF, as it counters Stealth, and Batman TA is not Stealth
Actually, it says nothing about Stealth.
Homing Device.
Choose a Character.
When this character hits an opposing character with a close combat attack, lines of fire drawn to that opposing character until the end of your turn are not affected by hindering terrain.
So yeah, it works fine. Keep in mind the damage value drops by 1 when you use the card, but other than that...
