Suppose kitty pride is on one side of a wall (indoor map) and her teammate collossas is on the other side. they're adjacent except that there's a wall between them. on her turn, can she use phasing to reach through the wall and grab him and carry him off? if not, why not? phasing says ignore all characters and obstacles (terrain) when phasing. I realize they're in different rooms but to a phaser it's adjacent.
my son is 8 years old, creams me regularly, and is famous for creating tactics like this - usually at a tournament so he can cause the judges head to explode.
it doesn't work cause you are only phasing when moving. Before you start your carry/move action you must be in base contact with your Friendly figure Hence you can not carry someone in the next room just like she can not attack through walls.
So if you did start legitimately adjacent to a friedly figure can you combine flying / phasing to carry them through a wall?!? I thought this was illegal.
If the flying phaser is adjacent to another character they may carry them and phase with them. They must be put down in an adjacent square at the end of the move. On opposite sides of a wall is not adjacent.
You CAN carry a friendly figure through a wall with a flying phaser while moving, but you can not end your move on opposite sides of that wall; they must both be either in or out.
Whenever someone asks me what I think the most dangerous animal is, i tell them it has to be a shark riding on an elephant, just eating and trampling everything in sight.
