I recently picked up The Savage Sword of Conan Vols. 1-2 from Dark Horse, and I was wondering if anyone knew if they collected all of the stories from each issue listed? Vol. 1 says it collects issues #1-#10, but I wasn't sure if this was just highlights or main stories or something.

The reason I wanted to know is that I don't collect comics for any other reason than to read them, so if these volumes contain all of the stories from each issue collected, then I can cross the individual issues off of my list of comics I need to get.

I am guessing you are noticing the varying length between issues. Where some issues seem way longer then others.
The original magazines contained other stories (some even prose rather comic) that did not relate to Conan. These books only reprint the Conan related material.
Many of the DC Showcase books are the same way. Just showcasing the main material for whatever character but alot of issues had backup stories of other characters and such.

Huh, I just figured most if not all of the back-up stories and what not were about Conan. Oh well, if that be the case then I can cross the issues off my list once I get these collections, since I'm only interested in the Conan stuff.
