ok I was playing a friend I was X-men he was Shield. I attacked his Captain America with Professor X and hit. His cap already had 1 token and he wanted to use his theme team prob but none of his other characters had line of fire, so he did the prob with cap. So my question is does he push before my attack or after?

1. The token gets placed immediately.
2. You would reroll (assume you hit).
3. Cap would take damage appropriately.
4. Cap would take push damage appropriately (i.e., if he takes damage and lands on a Willpower click, he would ignore the push damage. If he is on a WIllpower click and takes damage to a non-Willpower click, he would not ignore push damage).
5. You would assign your character a token.
6. You would push your character if appropriate. (The timing of 5/6 is important in that if Captain America had outwitted your own Willpower, it would be "back" in time for you to avoid push damage)
Your opponents characters would take push damage after damage resolution.
Ok! Thanks, NBPerp. One quick, other question that I'm pretty sure I know the answer to but just want to make sure.
On your own turn, does it count as using a character that turn (such as if I want to theme team prob with someone who hasn't done something yet but I might want to do something with after the current action and possible prob roll)? This is mostly in reference to things like Contingency Plan, which require players to not use all of their actions in a turn.

Thanks in advance to whoever answers this!
I'm not entirely sure what you are asking. Your action pool (the number of actions you may assign characters) is not affected by the token placed for Theme reroll.
