Hi, I was wondering how the following situation would play out...
There is a soaring character would is being attacked by a grounded range attacked. This attaker has line of site and is within range. Between the soaring character and the attacker however is a rubble hindering terrain tile. Does the soaring character get +1 defence from the hindering terrain, or is the hindering terrain ignored for this example?
A quick look through the rules gave me no answers, so I was hoping you guys could help.
Hindering terrain would not block a soaring figure, just as it would not if you were attacking someone on a roof.
Chuck Norris is the only person who can simultaneously hold and fire FIVE Uzis: One in each hand, one in each foot, and the 5th one he roundhouse-kicks into the air, so that it sprays bullets.
This ruling as well as whether a soaring character can be stealthed is currently under review. The rules seem to imply they would get the +1 bonus or become stealthed but we're waiting a final ruling from the powers that be.

The faq says line of fire from a rooftop character to a grounded character is not blocked by hinderering terrain but the same is not necessarily true in reverse.
If I had a grounded fig 3 spaces back from a hindering terrain square firing "over" the hindering terrain square at a character on the rooftop, is it considered firing through hindering terrain?
This came up the other night as my V Huntress (grounded) was firing at a E Batman (on the rooftop) with stealth over a truck (hindering terrain). After reading the faq we determined that I was firing through hindering terrain and could not hit him because he had stealth. Is that correct?
Yep Mickar has it right. Elevated Figures ignoe any hindering terrain unless the target is standing IN a block of hindering. When shooting from the ground to elevated you count hindering.
Soaring Im not sure about. I never see anyone use soaring.
