Hey, Surtur even fought the JSA. Twice.

I thought that was a "Danger Room" Surtur that Odin made to simulate Ragnarok (see Sandman: Season of Mists)

Admittedly, my comic fu about both Disassembled as well as JSA is weak, but I'm pretty sure that was the case.

There was a four part "End of the JSA" back in the mid-80s. Ended up with the Golden Age members of the JSA trapped in Limbo with Surtur. Then, a few years ago, a few members of the old JSA got trapped with Surtur *again* in limbo.

Not that I'm a comic book geek, or anything...

Ah, well, the Sandman issues in question about Season of Mists revealed that Odin created that Limbo as a "faux Ragnarok" to see if there was any way to avert the doom of the Aesir.

At least, I'm assuming that was the same thing. I honestly don't know.

Besides, this is Marvel mythology!

Of course - I was merely pointing out how the whole Asgard mythology has been co-opted by the comics industry.
