So was I right the first time? Does everyone take 1 damage making it 3 extra or is it just 1 extra damage (from what I originally thought).
You do this...
1) Success fully hit your targets.
2) Divide up your damage value however you choose.
3) Add 1 to the damage dealt to each figure.
If there are three hit targets, a total of 3 is added to the total damage dealt, but it will be distributed as 1 to each.
This can be nice, but the reverse is killer.
Inertial Interference Field, for example, reduces damage dealt by -2.
I have three targets and 6 damage.
I hit three guys.
I divide my damage up, giving 2 to each guy.
The -2 applies to each of those, meaning everyone is dealt 0.
Everyone is dealt 1 extra damage. This point cannot be redistributed.
Just wanted to fix that one little bit in bold.
I know you didn't actually mean "takes damage", Quebbster, but after putting out fires in this thread, I just wanted to make it very clear to anyone else that read this bit that critical hits do NOT cause damage taken.
So there is no control over how to distribute critical hit damage then.
Because critical hits happen after the 0 damage factor, you cannot control how those "critical hits" are distributed. You can only control the damage that the actual character has.........Pretty interesting considering i was just about to ask "Then why can't you just deal 7 damage to one character in my above situation". So i think I have a handle on everything.
Thanks once again Reading Rainbows!! I don't know what I'd do without ya'll!! Get it....Because of your colors....ha ha....yeah I need a drink.
What is the current ruling on whether or not multiple mind-controlled figures can attack one another?
It hasn't changed recently, as far as I know.
You cannot attack friendly figures. Until an MCed character has completed its action, it is considered friendly to your force.
Just to flesh Quebbster's answer a bit...
Let's say you successfully Mind Control 2 opposing characters...
1 - Both characters (A & B) are friendly to you.
2 - Give a free action to A and attack an opposing figure (B is still friendly to you, so you cannot target B)
3 - A's action resolves and A is now opposing to you
4 - Give a free action to B and attack an opposing figure. A is now opposing to you, so B can target A.
5 - B's action resolves and B is now opposing to you again
6 - Resolve the MC action.
I know you didn't actually mean "takes damage", Quebbster, but after putting out fires in this thread, I just wanted to make it very clear to anyone else that read this bit that critical hits do NOT cause damage taken.
Sorry. Long day, rushed post. You are right, of course.
