I've never used an Object while performing a Running Shot before, I wonder if there are any figures where that would be beneficial? IE figures with a printed 2 Damage, but Super Strength and Running Shot, that could pick up a heavy Object, throw it for 6 squares and 3 Damage? I'll have to check the units section to see.
I've used it with MACH-1 on a Thunderbolts theme team - before the FF starter bumped up the throwing range, too. Tossing a heavy object for 3 damage was a lot better than relying on his printed damage value...
...or it would have been if I had actually managed to make a decent attack roll.

I can totally sympathize with the Attack rolls. Last week, I moved to Outwit V Mantis Super Senses, then I tried to attack her, missed a 10 on a 17, tried again with Karnak and his 11 , missed again, tried 1 more time with someone else (whom also had a 11 ) and missed again *sigh*
Sometimes, the dice gods just hate you. Last week was that week for me. At one point in the game, I missed something like 6 straight attacks, and not missed hitting 18-19 , but 16-17 with 10 and 11 It was a special scenario, and all PC, Outwit and Perplex had to be adjacent to be used, also all figures had to have a printed Range of 0. Needless to say, I got pasted.

you know, everybody wants to talk about "the dice gods hating them", but what about those games where they love you? the last game I played, I hit everybody with a Nova Blast except my M-11 who then picked Mjolnir, and then Bi-Beast rolled just enough to hit Superman Prime with a Meteorite then rolled a 6 on the meteorite roll. good times.

Don't get me wrong, I've had days like that too. In fact, even in the game I lost last week, I had some really good rolls. For instance:
Karnak landed on his Flurry/Blades click. Liberty Belle was beside him, after she'd Charged and missed her attack. She was on her top dial, 18 and Karnak has a 9 so I rolled (no re-rolls available, needing a 9) and rolled a 10!!!!! Cool, here comes the Blades roll........1, reduced to 0 by Toughness OK second Flurry Attack, still need a 9, rolled an 11!!!! Sweet, here comes the Blades roll.........2 Seriously? How cruel are they? Do they really hate me that much? The next turn, I was able to Push Karnak (I am not sure how he survived my opponents turn) and still needing a 9, I rolled a 9!!!! Not this again? Blades for....6!!!! Wooo-hoooo!!! This of course put Liberty Belle on her last click, with, you guessed it 16 with Combat Reflexes for an 18 up close So, once more I rolled for a 9, and again got it!!!! Blades for.......5. Yay, dead Liberty Belle. Of course, by this time in the game, it was academic anyway.
Never question the dice gods. They work in mysterious ways. I've had games I thought were in the bag, couldn't miss a roll etc, only to have the dice go completely cold on me (I use 6 different pairs throughout the course of any give game) and then I've lost.
