I did hear about this. I remember it like it was yesterday.
I was gallavanting down the city street carrying a parcel of phosphates and rock candy in my zoot suit and bowler cap the other day. A young lad covered in dirt and dust, with a satchel of the rolled papers containing local news (created with glorious movable type machines) was on the corner shouting: "EXTREEEE! EXTREEE! Read all about it!"
Of course I want to know what "it" is. Has prohibition been lifted? Did the kaiser fall? Did someone start manufacturing bicycles with two tires of the same size? It was important in those days to keep up with the local news. I stroll up to the young chap, hand him a shiny new nickel and request one of his fine papers. He obliged most politely and I continued merrily on my way to my home.
I opened the paper and started reading it as I strolled home, because it was the style at the time to do such a thing rather than wait until you were at a table. It made one look important. I spied the headline and it said "Stealth=AWESOME.". I had no clue of what this "stealth" was. I stopped a local passerby and showed him the headline and asked him "what is this 'stealth'?".
This man informed me that "Stealth" is a motion picture, a "talkie" in fact staring a young fellow by the name of "James Foxx". Apparently, young James utilizes a flying contraption not unlike that of those local strange fellows the Wright Brothers. At that moment, I agreed with the headline, it does sound AWESOME, possibly as great as the latest Charlie Chaplin film I watched.
A day later, I gamboled up to my local nickel theatre and purchased a ticket to see this new talking picture. When the film was over, I stood up from my chair, removed my monocle, and exclaimed "Stealth=AWESOME" and the viewing audience agreed with such an uproar that we were the talk of the town for the rest of the night.

Twas a great day. Twas an AWESOME day.
I was about to agree to stealth's awesomeness until I read this. It reminded me of something. So I have to go with Jessica Beil=AWESOME.
But stealth is not invisibility. They are two different concepts.
Exactly, but some people can't seem to wrap their heads around that.

Because that was the only way to *mimic* what she could do as a standard power that would fit for her and many other figures, would be my *guess*.
Anyway, there is nothing wrong with 'Stealth' the way it is. With so many ways to get around it even from range (SI Dr. Strange and HoT Cap come to mind for recent sets) it really shouldn't be an issue. Add in the aforementioned ways to *counter* it (Ultimates, Superman, Sharpshooter, Trick Shot, Charge, HSS, Maneuver, Force Blast, Pulse Wave etc) and it really isn't a problem.
Trade to Canada. We're friendly, and we love Beavers..........
But they do, it's called 'Ignore'. Try it, you'll like it.
But ignore is not stealth. They are two different concepts.

Except that invisibility is in fact an action...

Hey, now you're gettin' it. That's why Plasticity is sometimes named Grapple which is more of a stretch (pardon the pun) by name than it is by the stretch of concept for Stealth to Invisibility.
How about we just give Stealth a renaming like Earthbound? "Stealth/Undetectable"? Or just "Undetectable"? Does that cover the bases a little better? Will that quell the complaining? (Haha, of course, not!)

True. I used the most extreme example to illustrate the point, but it still applies in other cases (which are more analogous to camouflage). Sure, your teammate might be engaged in fisticuffs with a Stealthed target, but from your vantage point he appears to be wrestling with a dense shrub.
God is smarter than we are....
