Actually, no. Outwit can happen any time during your turn. Which means it can happen at the beginning of your turn, the same time that Poison occurs. And since they happen at the same time, the controlling player chooses which happens first. Hence, Outwit your toughness, then poison you for one damage.
wow thanks guys, still doesnt make a lotta sense but thats made harley and that better from bad
Your beginning of turn ends when a non free action is taken. Free actions can be taken at any time except during another action. So as a controlling player you take a free action to outwit then a beginning of turn ability to poison. Hope this helps it make sense.

Not quite. From the player's guide:
Turns
The "beginning of turn" ends with the first non-free action assigned to a character, unless that action specifically states that it can be given during the beginning of the turn.
So you can give characters power actions, move action, combat actions, etc. as much as you want during the beginning of the turn... provided that their description says that you can. Using ICWO to turn Oracle's dial, for example, is a power action that occurs during the beginning of the turn.
It's part of what made LAMP so mean. Ah the classics.

Well, kinda. ICWO allows a (non-free) power action that occurs at the beginning of your turn. If you have a team full of Poisoners In Contact With Oracle on her card, they could use up all of your actions at the beginning of your turn - each of them taking a turn to gain Outwit and then Poison an opposing character.

Other than ICWO to turn her dial, are there any other non-free actions which can be taken at the beginning of the turn?
Of course not. Just wanted to double check that there weren't any yet.
Siphon Power I believe can let you use the X-Men TA as a Power Action at the beginning of each player's turn.
