I cannot wait to play this guy on a GoTG team. It's frickin Groot!!!! Never thought he'd be made. Awesomesauce.

I love Groot, but he is going to be very hard to get into battle both with that 6 movement and being a giant. And he's slower if he's carrying Rocky. That being said, his dial does look fun, but he's not the most competitive piece for 154.

I'm a big fan of Groot, here. He'll almost always be in hindering and if you'll notice, his healing power can happen anytime during your turn, not just at the beginning of the turn. That will help his mobility as you can push, take a click, then heal right after.

Score: 90%. I don't really like the new Guardians costume... and that's the only bad thing I can say about Groot. He's a bad mammajamma. He can heal himself up to 7 clicks during the game. He can share some wicked defense values. He is the only figure in all of Heroclix under 599 points who is as strong as the Hulk. And he's cheap, cheap, cheap!

When you see him on the opposing force, you'll have to completely base your strategy around getting him past those devastating Colossal clicks as soon as possible. Unless of course you choose to run away, like a cowardly baby (one of my favourite tactics).

This is the one super rare from WoS that i simply MUST have. even if he didn't have a killer dial, Groot is a must. this guy has loads of potential. if you get lucky on your regen clicks, he can potentially get back to his second click if you just keep him on hindering. the fact that his healing power can be activated at any time on your turn, you can push and heal or heal and attack or smoke cloud him, heal, then attack, etc. so many possibilities. plus he's a giant alien TREE! you can't top that.

He is awesome when used properly, but the really screwed up his keywords. He is missing several: S.H.I.E.L.D. (was a member of the Howling Commandos), Soldier (GotG and SHIELD), Scientist (just read War of Kings and tell me isn't one). Other than the missing keywords he's perfect.

HE IS GROOT! Played him with the GotG the other day in a 400 point game. With J. Jonah Jameson for cheap perplexings. Nightcrawler picked off JJJ, Rocket Racoon, and Bug, pulling them to a AA White Martian and BatB Black Adam/Shazam duo (Only used Black Adam.) I thought I was beat, but Black Adam attacked Groot. Groot took enough damage to his his collossal. He forfeit the game after Groot hit him. Star-Lord's def was too high for him to consider basing or HSSing and he didn't want any piece of Groot.

I am Groot! Terrific fig! I just pulled him in a sealed event and he ruled. His special power (plant growth) on the WoS map is almost broken. He was never even near the other sp on the dial. Its a great sculpt and a lot of fun to play. high marks all around.

Best piece ever

Yeah! I was bragging that Groot with the GotG ATA on the new map could beat Iron Man & War Machine 1 on 1. My bro continued to argue with me until we settled it on the board. My friends Groot vs his IM/WM. He tried as hard as he could and postponed the game for a while but in the end Groot owned. I made sure to point out that he's HALF their point value.
