The downside of using it on those characters is that you have to assign it to everyone on your team who has Atlantis...even if they have Submerged already.

However on the plus side...it will help protect you against that annoying Captain America figure, who ignores Submerged.

I agree it would be nice if it was +2 instead. Or if it was +1 against cloe combat as well.

Wasn't too thrilled with it myself, while the price was fine the effect was pretty bland and uninspired.

Frankly I think it would have been good if - in addition to or instead of - they'd had some effect that reflects how water puts a serious drag on force and momentum. Like when trying to throw a punch. Having an effect that reduces close combat damage by 1 (minimum of 1), for a higher (3-4 points, or 5 with the above ability in addition?) ATA cost.

Now if you can find me one White Lantern keyword figure that doesn't have the LIVE! Special Power, then I will tell you that there is a point to the White Lanterns getting an ATA. Otherwise, it's getting kind of old having everyone asks for a WL ATA.

I don't think the presence of LIVE negates the idea of a White Lantern Corps ATA.

I do think that there isn't any need for one and would much rather see ATAs for Easy Company, Doom Patrol, variants of the JLA or Titans, ANY of the other lantern corps, and so on.

This ATA is basically a complete waste of points in my opinion.

If I had some spare points and was already trying to take advantage of water terrain I'd play it.

A problem I've had with figures like Namora is that if you move her into the water for her SP, she becomes a sitting duck.
