Why must you roll breakaway to be tk'ed if you are based, I think hypersonic figs should have to roll breakaway also, it's beginning to seem like the rulebook should be labeled communication breakdown?
I agree with the tk bit. Its kinda backwords in my opinion. A character with the carry ability can run off with a based ally np but an ally must roll break away to be tked away from an opponent. This needs to be switched around to make more sense. hopfully in the new rule book this year. I wonder what the starter set will be.
Movement requires break away. TK moves a character. Simple as that.
Not too mention, since you can now move a character that is up to 8 squares away from the TK-er, it would be a little unbalancing to just yank your close combat brick out of the thick of things, back to the medic for healing, if there was no possibility of failure. At least a character trying to Carry it's pal out of a similar situation has to be adjacent to the character it wants to Carry. Game balance, my friend. Game balance...

Not really simple as that. TK creates a special specific requirement that a break away roll is required. Without that special specific requirement, no break away roll would be required. The general rules only require a break away roll when the character moving is the one given the action. With TK the character being moved isn't given an action of any type so no break away roll is required naturally other than the TK rules specifically say that a roll is required.
