I want these clixed: Doc Savage, Fu Manchu, Tarzan, The Shadow, The Green Hornet & Kato, Conan, Solomon Kane, The Phantom, King Kong, Universal Monsters, Black Orchid, Manhunter (Paul Kirk), Xemnu the Titan, unclixed Kirby Fourth World characters, and Lilith, Daughter Of Dracula.
Johnny's version is better. The drums are more pronounced and funkier. Johnny's guitar playing also dominates and this song needs that. Even though Rick Derringer is more than capable as a guitarist as evidenced on his solo projects and he does back up Johnny on his version of the song. Seeing as Derringer wrote the song here's a link to his version. And because it's Musical History time, here's some early Derringer when he was still a teen - Hang On Sloopy. and lastly, check out the genius of Derringer doing a dueling guitar solo well before it became fashionable with Judas Priest's guitarists - At the 4:20 mark this song totally goes all kinds of crazy.

Reason: grammar, of course
VG9-Boy howdy, do I enjoy your musical interludes. Very knowledgeable and well informed.
The same could be said about readyeddy?, soxolas, AlienFlanders and the lot of you. To a lesser extent, DrFate98.That's for attempting to call me stupid, but ultimately failing.

Johnny Winter.
Someday, you'll recognize my genius.
By the way, which insult did I get caught for this time? As mean as I am, I sometimes lose track!!

I just cited Johnny Winter while posting on the "Peter Gunn" O vs. C thread and it left me wondering if you would or have done a "Rock & Roll, Hoochie Koo" O vs. C involving Johnny and Rick Derringer (which would mean another of those strange matchups in which the song's composer did not do the original recording***).
Holy Crow indeed.
That said...
The Cover -- Johnny Winter, please!
*** Rick Derringer wrote "Rock & Roll, Hoochie Koo," which originally appeared on the "Johnny Winter And" LP. Rick performs on that album -- so, in that respect, he's on the original -- and later recorded his own version of his song, under his name.
Tim Burton was right: "A square jaw does not a Batman make." Steve Buscemi as the next Batman! Luke Perry as Joker! Let's make it happen!
