Did venom ever fuse with a vampire or something and grow wings and an extra pair of arms? I saw this somewhere and its bothering me...what hapend there?

I know that there is a "what if" issue (volume 2 - I'll have to hunt for the number), where the symbionite fused with the Punisher. This collaboration had wings to aid movement around town, instead of the web shooters (punisher got rid of that aspect, since webbing isn't lethal).

Extra arms....I don't know about that.

I dunno about any wings, but in the "Venom: The Madness" miniseries Venom was doused in sentient toxic waste that mutated him. He grew a bunch of extra little arms and heads, and his strength was greatly amplified, to the point where Juggernaut ran away from fighting him.

Someone told me once that there is a What if? comic where the Venom symbiote bonds with the Hulk. Is this true and what issue was it?

Yep I know the exact issue your talking about. Here's a quick synopsis:

Spider-man doesn't get to symbiote off in time and it bonds with him permanently. After it drains all the energy outta spider man (leaving spidey a 90-year old who dies of old age shortly after), it has enough power to bond with the hulk. After it drains all the power outta the hulk (leaving him as a young bruce banner), venom hops onto Thor! For a day the symbiote starts bonding to Thor while hiding under mt rushmore. Finally Reed Richards calls in the biggest gun possible against the symbiote that's vunerable to sonics. Reed Richards calls in Black Bolt! Black Bolt says "hi" to the venom symbiote and Mt. Rushmore explodes. Venom and Thor are separated and knocked uncouncious. Finally, as the heros are preparing a non-lethal containment for venom the black cat shows up on the scene and fries venom with a gun the kingpin made for her. The price of that weapon? The black cat must serve the kingpin for the rest of her life!

It's one of the coolest "what if's" ever.

Or you could be thinking of the issue where Rune of the Malibu Universe bonded with the Venom symbiote (or one of his race) He had wings, sucked blood and had 4 arms.

I was on Mile High's site and I think I found the issue I am looking for! Is it What If? Vol. II #4? It has Spider-man, Hulk, Thor, Mr. Fantastic, and Black Cat on the cover.

TheFreak is right. There where a bunch of comics with all the symbiotes attacking the Earth. Rune looked sweet with the Venom symbiote!
