I already know the answer to this, but I can't find it on the realms to prove to my hobby store.
If a character uses perplex, then another character outwits said perplex, the stat boost is negated because the character technically "loses" the power via outwit, even though perplex says "until the beginning of your next turn."
My friends are swearing to me that, even though i outwit perplex, they still get the stat boost because it's a floating effect. If i'm wrong about this, i'm going to look like a giant ### hat. If I could get a speedy reply and preferably from an official ruling, that would be bonzer. Thanks guys!
Whenever a power or ability is countered or lost, all game effects with a duration specified by that power or ability immediately end. Effects without a duration specified by that power or ability remain in play even when the power is countered or lost.
"Until X" is a specified duration. The effect of Perplex would end immediately.
