DOORWAY THROUGH ME: Once during your turn, you may give Doorman a free action and choose a wall or square of blocking terrain adjacent to him. Until your next turn, characters can ignore that wall or square of blocking terrain for movement purposes.
What are we considering to be adjacent walls?
For instance, if Doorman is standing in a doorway are the two walls on either side of the door considered adjacent, or does it obey the same rules for beaking walls (i.e. must be a wall that borders the occupied square?)

Asked in the units section, but I'll add his question here:

A few other questions came up during sealed yesterday:
1) Does the chosen wall/BT stay ignored if Doorman moves away from it and is no longer adjacent that same turn?
2) Doorman chooses a wall that is between him and a friendly character. Can he now carry that character?

1) It says "until your next turn"...so yeah, he opens it for your team and the opposing team.
2) Sure, it's a free action to open up the wall and now he can grab and bail!

Yeah, that's how we ruled it for both. Nothing in the texts says the effect ends when Doorman is no longer adjacent to the wall. The second one was a bit iffy.

Agreed, but I think you made the right call.
It has been brought to my attention that my post above contradicts an old ruling about using the Fuel Tank to attack a wall. Since I was not aware of that ruling, I'll just change my answer above and say that Doorman can indeed affect the walls on either side of the doorway he is standing in.

The Rule of Occupancy is a GOLDEN Rule and trumps even special powers.

3) THE RULE OF OCCUPANCY
Any game effect resulting in two or more characters occupying the same square, or characters, terrain markers, or objects occupying a square of blocking terrain, is prohibited (except for Debris markers, see Terrain p. 11). If part of a game effect would cause this to happen, that part of the game effect is ignored. If moving or placing a character, terrain marker, or object would cause this, then the character, terrain markers, or object must instead move to or be placed in a different square. Characters using certain powers and abilities may freely travel through other characters and/or blocking terrain, but if it will end its movement in the same square as another character or blocking terrain, the moving character must end its movement before entering the occupied square.
