I like the outwit SP, but I think I'll still stick to the M&M Leader most of the time. I've had too much good luck with him not to use him.

(Defense) Minions of the Leader: The Leader can use Mastermind and Toughness. When the Leader uses Mastermind, he can treat any friendly character 4 or fewer squares away to which he has a clear line of fire as if it were adjacent.
(Damage) Intellect: The Leader can use Outwit and Probability Control.
I agree! The Minions of Doom TA and his (2) SP's significantly increased the effectiveness of the MuMo The Leader, with opening Mind Control and Psychic Blast made The Leader an offensive threat.
The new version of The Leader will get some play, but nowhere near what the MuMo version saw.
I seem to remember winning an event by virtue of KOing an opponent's BatB Ra's more than once, and swooping ahead on points.
Yeah, likewise here. I had my Molly Hayes take down Ra's al Ghul THREE times in a 300 pt. game. The last time, she had to feed him a forklift to put him down.
Of course, on the other hand, I watched the same player spring a trap that involved luring a Black Adam/Shazam duo near to where Ra's would reappear, intentionally taking a hit putting him onto BCF/Outwit, and just WIPING THE FLOOR with the duo.
The Incredible Hulk and The Defenders were the only comic books that I collected growing up. Man I'm LOVING this set.
PS: Keep in mind I stopped collecting comics when they went above 35 cents. OMG I'm old.--- "Hey kid, get off my lawn."
Rep to you for being old because I am, too. I started buying comics when they were 30 cents, remember when they went to 35, and also remember when Marvel had a 'still only 35 cents!' tag on their books.
As for The Leader and Humanoids...I'll go with the general consensus that they're nifty-neato-keen.
The ability to outwit powers on different characters is really quite impressive. Taking away hypersonic speed and tk, for example, could be pretty deadly. I'm not sure anyone mentioned this, but it wasn't obvious to me at first.
I don't know who these guys are supposed to be, but they look like the flu virus pair (headache and mucus). About the clixs... Mmm... Pass. The minions are not that bad but the sculpt is just ugh!
Glad to see any generics, but ones like this are very nice to see made!
Now, about those Lava Men...
Absolutely! I have been wanting a bunch of these Humanoids, mainly because they have provided us several of the other generics, but this is great! And yes, Lava Men would be awesome, too!
My thought on the special power though is to make sure you play them with a figure that has at least invulnerability and can do 4 damage, with a strong attack value, and just wipe them out evertime they are produced to try to ring up points like a pinball machine!
Eh, maybe I'm pessimistic, but I don't see a team of Leader and 5 Humanoids doing very well. Annoying, yes, but not enough offensive potential. You only get a few attack swith objects. Once those are done you are stuck pinging people for 2 at a time. With no move and attack on the entire team this becomes hard to do.
I'll tell you what though, I would love to face The Leader and 5 Humanoids with the new KC Magog! That would be AWESOME!
