LIFE FORCE PORTALS: When an opposing character takes damage from Trevor Fitzroy's close combat attack, after actions resolve you may place Trevor Fitzroy and up to one adjacent friendly character anywhere on the map as long as they remain adjacent.

I have 2 questions:

1. Can Trevor take any friendly character, even if they are a flyer, giant or double base?

2. Also the other character he takes with him, can they be giving a non free action afterwards?

My initial gut instinct is yes and yes.

You are placing, just like TK, not carrying.

Since no limitations are given, there are none. He can take anybody with him. And since this is not Carry, there is no reason that you couldn't give a non free action to the other character.

It's even better than TK, as you could indeed take Giants, Double base, 2x2 base, or even a colossal like Galactus, Foom etc.
