I don't like him, he feels weird to me. Also, the starting three damage is a turn off, surfer should have either three damage rce, or straight up 4 damage.
Cheap and effective Power Cosmic Surfer is welcome. Numbers are solid (though one more click of 3 damage would have been better by reducing one of the 12 Speed P/T clicks to 10), powers are accurate, and he has all the right keywords for "trapped in a world he never made" Surfer. All for a 149 point package leaving lots of room for team building. Anyone who can't find play value in this version of Norrin isn't thinking hard enough.
@Jay Thor: All of his 2 damage clicks have different purposes. With his first two you'll most likely use Pulse Wave, his last two you'll be using HSS to retreat and finally use Regen on his last click.
@ A Watchmen: Why the heck is the Silver Surfer retreating?! Even on his second to last click? I get your point about him having pulse wave on a couple of those 2 damage clicks, but if I want to shoot at full range all I have is a measley 2 damage? The Sentinnel of the Spaceways has the damage equivalent of some soldier's gun? Is this a joke?
I suspect this one is intended to be played as Galactus' hearld (+1 to all stats and choice of herald abilities makes him look a lot better) or alongside the 'budget' defenders. Based on the main set Dr. Strange I hope we'll be seeing much more accurate representations of Hulk, Namor and Surfer soon.
I respond with the same thing I said about the Hulk, and Hercules, and She hulk- yes, the dials are good for the points. They just don't properly represent the characters. I am much more concerned with comic accuracy than cheapness. I play more 500+ point games than <500 point games.
