How much do you find that knowing who the players are effects your view of their actions? Do you find yourself saying, "Anyone else, I'd call that a Mafia tell... but I know it's just Peers being Peers" or things along those lines?
Would people be interested in an 'Anonymous' game on a proboard, where people are told to register with specific usernames that are just for that game, and not reveal who they are until the game is over?

Too bad no one's ever thought of that
"Why would the possibility of me being wrong ever stop me from doing something?"

Mags runs Anonymous games from time to time. You may want to talk to him to see if he's planning another one soon, though I think Allstars 14 is his next game.
To answer your question without the snark... of course it plays a part, despite consciously trying to ignore it. Mafia games have been played here for what, 5 years, with many of the same core group. Patterns emerge. Hence why Mags' Anonymous games are so much fun.

Unless of course, you always manage to get killed N1 in those regardless?

Mags has run 7 Anonymous games so far: Board Games, Runaways, Rabbits, Ultimate X-men, Couples, Dragons and Reptiles. Here's a link to the board (all have been run on the same board) if you want to take a look and see what they looked like:
