So stealth does not matter, but if I have a giant next to your giant your quake won't hit the square behind him? (I hope thats right)
That is correct.

This is an example of the Heroclix 50% rule. If it makes real world sense, there is a 50% chance it is ruled that way.
If you mean that all colossal figures should be able to 'reach out and touch someone' from 2 squares away, then yeah, I can agree. Though they do have other things going for them that giants don't, such as:
~ no breakaway roll needed
~ can make ranged attacks against non-adjacent characters when based
~ can continue to make attacks even with 2 tokens
So, it's not all bad.
Trade to Canada. We're friendly, and we love Beavers..........
Exactly, I can see no reason why a giant has any ability a colossal doesnt.(the difference should be factored into point cost). I also dont see how a giant would stop quake from hitting behind him. I can however see how a giant would prevent another giant from smacking the little guy behind him.

Its for game balance purposes and so that (even more) 'exceptions' (for lack of a better term) to rules don't have to be added. But if you really want to use real world scenarios...
Quake is not always a representation of a shock wave. For instance Sue Storm's (SI102) quake represents her Force Field. More recently, Morg's SP quake is his axe swipe. I can see how a giant could possibly shield someone behind him/her from both of these attacks. So do we make more rules to determine when Quake might be blocked and when it isn't?
As for the Giant Reach issue, again, if you really must use real world situations, in terms of size ratios, I believe Giants would be about the ratio of an average person:an average monkey. If two came at me I could probably reach over the one in front to smack the one behind me. I would say that colossal ratio is probably closer to an average person:a sparrow [or ant]. At the colossal size point, its probably pretty difficult to target only the one in the back. However, this scenario would hold no water if you tried to put it up against the use of Quake. Which is why I don' like using real world scenarios.

Because those are the rules to the game. Laws of Physics need not apply.

They dont have giant reach because they are so tall that if they bend down that low to hit a figure their bad backs will act up. So they only close combat attack vs figures adjacent (one square away) with a little kick so they dont fall down and break a hip.
