Ok I was double targeting two clicks one was fine but my ? Comes into play when I was shooting a piece on higher elevation but blocking terrain on the ground stopped his sight. I disagreed being it is a outdoor map I said blocking doesn't exist on higher elevation only on a indoor map it does. So who was correct
If the line of fire crosses blocking terrain, and the character on level 1 is not a giant or colossal, line of fire is blocked to a character on the rim of level 2.
X = character, Y= character, B = blocking, 1's & 2's = elevation level
1 1 1 1 1 2 2
1 X 1 B 1 Y 2
1 1 1 1 1 2 2
From the 2011 Rulebook:
Quote
Line of Fire: Blocking terrain prevents a line of fire from being drawn between two squares. Any line of fire crossing a square of blocking terrain is blocked (except for a line of fire between two characters on an elevation higher than that of outdoor blocking terrain).
@ Roderic
in your case Line of Fire (LoF) is Blocked too,because the grounded character is on the same elevation as the blocking terrain.
If you had a standard character on elevation level 2 a blacking on level 1 and a Giant Colossal on level 1,then the LoF would be clear
