It is official. The first option of hyperspeed, the hit and run option as I like to call it, not the repeated attack in place, is considered a move action which can be used in conjunction w/ free move from JLA/Avengers/Brotherhood/Top Cow. The only figure that is able to benefit is Flash.
Just be careful of the wording. The HSS move and attack is not "free" as in the same as a "free action", it's just a move action that doesn't count towards your allotment for that turn. So it's still a move action, Flash still gets a token and he can't do it after being carried.

Thank you CM, We really need to be precise in our language in that respect. The thought was at first that since the taxied character can only make a free action, that Free movers (TA's that allow movement w/out using your allottment of actions) would still be allowed to make a move action after being taxied, untill the rules were finally brought out and the wording became clear. You are correct in your warning about the use of the word free.
