When switching characters it says to give an action whether it be power, move, ect. My question is do you actually get to perform the action for instance; if it says give a move action, can you than move the figure and then switch out or just give the figure that specific action and then switch it out?

A move action will always allow you to move.
A ranged/close combat action will always allow you to make a ranged/close combat attack.
Power actions will only allow you to do what the power says it does.

to my knowledge, all Alter Ego need a power action to change and there are other characters like the Punisher or Beast Boy that have a trait named MORPH, those require that specific action to be changed
I´d quote the powers but i don't know and i´m pretty new with this :P
