Was wondering if anyone else is playing this. I just started, really not sure what I am doing LOL. Basically just been fusing cards and boosting cards.

Yeah, I mentioned it a few months ago in the MAA thread. Tried to get folks to use the referral code so we could get the bonus Jean Grey cards.
One trick it took me a bit to realize: your cards with abilities, if used for boosts, give a percentage chance of raising the ability level of the boosted card. So once you start accumulating excess cards like that, use them for boosting your better cards, not just the cheap fighters. However, even a little four power common can still build up to be handy.

I have been playing for about two weeks I have no clue how the actual card game works but I keep playing for some reason lol. Basically just use commons and uncommons to boost rares or anything better. The commons and uncommons even maxed out will probably never be worth playing in your deck after the first few levels because you have so much attack power to build you deck with but can only play 5 cards per deck. And C and UN take up very little energy in your deck. Also before you fuse two cards both should be maxed out on level and mastery to get the most out of the fusion. Another tip is when your boosting cards use the same type of cards as the card your boosting because it has a chance to give your card extra attack and defense if you use all the same type.
For the bosses you need to invite people on to your friends list and then you can borrow two cards from two different friends to help you beat the boss. I'm pretty sure that's the only possible way to beat them after the first few levels unless you want to spend a bunch of real money to buy the item that recharges your health in battle.
As far as building decks goes I'm not too sure myself. I know how to actually edit the deck (Go to the Menu and Deck Edit. Then you can add five cards to any deck. Each card has a point cost and the five cards can't go past how much your attack power is. When you attack you can pick any deck you want but when you get attacked I think it just uses the deck that you have as your top priority.) but no clue what the point of the game is to actually be able to build a good deck. I have just been using the suggested decks and my attacking record is 79-29 but my defending record is 11-62.
There also seems to be deck bonuses you can get somehow also. I keep seeing one called the Marvel team bonus but it doesn't make sense with the characters they were using (Cap, two invisible woman's, and a few other random guys). I am trying the pvp tournament stuff and am one rank away from getting the only cool thing in the ranking portion of it all (the ultimate card pack you get going halfway through it all)

Marvel Hero Team is a Defensive bonus the team gets if every character on the defending team is a Super Hero (as opposed to a Super Villain; there's an equivalent attacking version where the bonus triggers off of all of your team beig a super-villain. One of the more amusing bonuses is the Harley Club which uses Wolverine, Human Torch and Ghost Rider).

Yeah. I've been playing this on my phone for months and it just seems rather pointless. No sense of satisfaction whatsoever.

Yeah, I'll third that statement. The game doesn't really seem to make any sense, the layout it pretty weak, and the in game explanations for events/promos are baffling.
Still... I check in every day. Not a bad iPhone game to waste time waiting for the bus or whatever
If anyone needs any tips on this just ask. I'm in a top #20 alliance in this game. I've pretty much stopped playing clix (due to no venue so to speak) and HCO just is too buggy. So all of my extra spending money goes into this.
